Our gift-boxed double offering was minted to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps.  The stunning obverse design features a rendition of Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal's historic photograph, which shows the raising of an American flag by the United States Marines atop Mount Suribachi on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima. Taken on February 23, 1945, it is believed to be the most reproduced image in the history of photography. The coin's reverse features the official emblem of the United States Marine Corps. Each dollar is encapsulated in a clear acrylic holder to preserve its beauty corps marine product and condition. The set is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
